The experience made me a better researcher and prepared me for my career

I am Caroline Nakachwa and I was at IHSU from 2014-2016. I am currently a student at Teeside University, UK pursuing a PhD in Public health.

When I reflect on my two years at IHSU, I can only conclude that the experience not only made me a better researcher but also prepared me in many unpredictable ways for my career. I have found my Masters in Public Health (MPH) degree easily transferable to a variety of professional positions in Uganda, UK and worldwide. I am confident that I can effectively deliver in any institution or setting as any other person from any international university.

My experience as a student at IHSU gave me valuable unforgettable insights into conceptualizing Public Health in different contexts and systems.
